ABOUT US
The mission of the Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA) is to provide a quality of life that enables adults with disabilities to develop and sustain lifelong relationships, independence, and self-esteem while contributing to the larger community. Ken Anderson Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Ken Anderson
Former NFL quarterback Ken Anderson spent his entire playing career in Cincinnati. During his 16 years as a Bengal, he was a four-time Pro-Bowler and NFL Most Valuable Player. Anderson led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl in 1981. However, he personally credits his greatest honor as NFL Man of the Year in 1975 for his charity work.
Anderson formed the Ken Anderson Foundation in 2014 because he was concerned about the lack of options for his nephew, Drew, who lives with autism. The blended model created at this time involved live, work and play initiatives. In 2016, the foundation joined with Lighthouse Landing, a nonprofit led by parents of children with Down syndrome, to create the Ken Anderson Alliance. Since then, the organization has grown from a conceptual vision to enacting programs that serve 300+ adults. In 2021, with the merger of KAA and Melodic Connections, ENGAGE programming expanded to include music-based services.
The mission of the Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA) is to provide a quality of life that enables adults with disabilities to develop and sustain lifelong relationships, independence and self-esteem while contributing to the larger community.
