Type: Part-time; Second Shift Hours (Mondays 12-8pm; Tuesdays 4-8pm)

*Additional hours may be available PRN for day coverage (9-3) and evening/weekend outings

Starting Pay: $18/hour

The outing leader assumes responsibility for community outings at adult day programming. The outing leader provides supervision and supports to ensure safety for a group of four adults. The outing leader also encourages independence and the development of social/community connections while exploring a variety of community locations such as restaurants, shops, movie theaters, recreational centers and more. This individual will report to the Manager of Community Programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in community living skills, such as safety, money management and other activities of daily living
  • Engage individuals in community and social opportunities by providing encouragement, coaching and opportunities for choice/self-direction.
  • Transport groups to community locations, utilizing KAA vehicles.
  • Document services and follow all agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Current driver’s license (with fewer than 6 points) and vehicle insurance
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred
