NOW HIRING: Development Manager

The Development Manager plays a key role in implementing the fundraising strategy at Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA). This hands-on position supports fundraising events, individual giving campaigns, and donor stewardship efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for community impact and relationship-building.

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution

  • Lead logistical planning for KAA’s three fundraising events: Rockin’ with KAA, Ken & Friends, and the KAA Golf Classic.
  • Track event sponsorships, guest lists, auction items and in-kind donations; ensuring appropriate recognition and acknowledgments.
  • Secure auction and raffle items through the preparation of prospect lists and solicitation materials, submission of online requests, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Develop auction display materials and website(s), including item descriptions, images and values.

Individual Giving and Donor Engagement

  • Coordinate the execution of individual giving campaign strategies including direct mail, email marketing and social media promotions.
  • Work with program staff to gather success stories, quotes and images for communications.
  • Ensure regular touch points with donors through acknowledgment letters, notes, thank you calls, impact updates, and other stewardship efforts.

Database Management and Reporting

  • Maintain and manage donor information in CRM system, ensuring accurate entry, gift processing, and reporting.
  • Produce acknowledgment letters, mailing lists, donor reports, and giving summaries as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of nonprofit development experience
  • Proficiency with a CRM system.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Interest in non-profit fundraising career opportunities.
