Position Summary

This is a part-time 2nd shift hourly position with expected weekly work hours to be Monday and Tuesday from 3:30pm-8:00pm in our KAA Night Out program. Additional opportunities for hours in our KAA Out and About program are available, if desired.

Responsibilities 

• Interact with participants and encourage participants to engage with peers and the community.
• Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and practices.
• Follow the written care plan or ISP (Individual Service Plan).
• Provide timely and accurate documentation on services delivered.
• Promote health and safety for participants served. Identify and report incidents, as needed.
• Observe participants and their environments and report behavior, physical and/or cognitive changes and/or changes in living arrangements to supervisor.
• Make decisions and solve problems independently.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with supervisor and coworkers.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with 5 or fewer points.
• Current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Comfortable working in a small team atmosphere

Key Skills & Responsibilities

A passion for and commitment to the mission and values of the organization; experience working with adults with disabilities and/or disability service organizations a plus. Experience in group settings is also a plus.
