CEO Announcement

Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA) pleased to announce that Patrick Ober has been selected as our new CEO and we could not be happier. Patrick has proven leadership and program expertise in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability community and a deep commitment to advocating for and creating meaningful impact for individuals with disabilities. His leadership, expertise and goals align perfectly with KAA’s mission to provide a quality of life that empowers adults with disabilities through our LIVE, WORK and ENGAGE opportunities.

Patrick has Doctorate of Philosophy, Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Indiana University and a law degree from Belmont University College of Law. Even before graduating with his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, he worked as a therapeutic recreation summer day camp program leader for children and teenagers with moderate to severe disabilities. After completing his undergraduate degree, Patrick worked as a policy fellow where he recommended creative policy solutions that included a more inclusive and engaging community input process, and greater teacher support services. This policy work was followed by several years of teaching as an adjunct professor and assistant instructor before taking a job in the Northwest Local School District as a Special Education Assistant. Patrick followed up his roles in education as a Disability Rights and Advocacy Specialist at The Center of Independent Living Options. Currently, he is Director of Programs and Operations at Stepping Stones.

To allow for time to transition out of his duties at Stepping Stones, Patrick will start in his role as CEO of KAA in early 2025. We look forward to an exciting future of providing LIVE, WORK and ENGAGE opportunities with Patrick as our leader.
