NOW HIRING: Community Programs Manager
Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA) is seeking a skilled professional to manage a caseload of adults with disabilities in our evening community programs. This role will be responsible for the development of organizing, supervising, managing, and evaluating the program of the organization’s Community Engage Programs: “Out and About” and “Night Out.” These programs provide small groups of adults’ opportunities to explore their community, connect with peers, and have fun in the evening and on weekends. Program activities encourage independence, self-advocacy, and confidence as individuals learn to navigate and participate in their community.
This is a full-time, remote position with expected on-call duties until 8pm on weekdays and some weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the outreach, intake, and enrollment of participants for the community engage programs
- Problem solves any issues that occur with participants, volunteers, staff
- Hire, train, & supervise Engage program staff (Outing Coordinators)
- Follow/Assist with the development of Night Out and Out and About program budgets
- Invoice prepaid events for evening Engage programs
- Create and oversee the calendar of events for Night Out and Out and About programs
- Oversee programs registrations/waitlists
- Attend/lead outings if needed to assure a safe ratio for the participants
- Provide on-call assistance for KAA evening Engage programs
- Participant intake, scheduling, communication, and support
- Staff hiring, training, scheduling, supervision
- Work with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard, schedule, communicate, supervise
- Ensure employees are trained and maintain appropriate certifications in accordance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and KAA rules and policies.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Director of WORK and Community Programming
- Participate in program planning committee meetings to acquire information needed for monthly Board updates
- Maintain master calendar of Engage opportunities and participant hours, volunteer hours, staffing hours
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; preferred in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience acting in similar role.
