Alexandra Wilson, MT-BC, Director of Music Therapy
Alexandra Wilson has been a board-certified music therapist since 2017. Alexandra graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and Minor in Psychology. As a music therapist for Melodic Connections for 3 years, Alexandra worked in schools, psychiatric hospitals and adult day programs. She also managed remote and in-person supports for the first smart house for adults with disabilities in the United States at LADD, Inc.
Alexandra practices community music therapy and is passionate about diversity and inclusion. She belives in self-direction and each person's ability to grow. Her research, "Music Therapy Students’ Preparedness and Training to Work with LGBT Clients", won a national award and was published in the academic journal Music Therapy Perspectives.
