Ken Anderson Alliance’s Adult Day Program

We are excited to announce that we are beginning the intake process for participation in our Adult Day Services program at the Ken Anderson Alliance. The last 7 months have been full of diligent work toward licensure with the Department of Developmental Disabilities and in preparing our spaces and programming tracks. We greatly appreciate your patience and are excited to begin slowly opening as we emerge from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Our day services will run from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM five days weekly: Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Staff will be available for drop off as early as 8:30 AM and we will be available for pick-up no later than 3:30 PM. Participation space is limited so we are only allowing participants to attend 1 day a week at this moment. Once participants have completed their 60-day trial period, they may be eligible to attend more days depending on track choice and availability.

Our Available Tracks are:

  1. Melodic Connections (Monday – Friday)

  • Melodic Connections is our music-based program that gets folks banging on drums, slamming some keys, and singing at the top of their lungs.

  • Participant driven goals for music and social skills

  • Music instruction in our studio

  • Performance opportunities throughout the community

  • Team building

2. Arts & Exploration (Songwriting/ Recording -Monday, Art-Wednesday, Performing Arts-Friday)

  • Arts & Exploration is a program where it’s okay to get dirty! This is a program from individuals with a swirling imagination and hands that like to move.

  • Participants explore diverse mediums to express one’s self

  • Experience empowerment through artistic expression

  • Group and individual projects

3. Community Engagement (Tuesday & Thursday)

  • Community Engagement is a program for participants that like to explore, are not afraid to be on their feet, and have fun with friends along the way.

  • Community outings allow participants to have meaningful interactions

  • Learn appropriate social skills

  • Practice safety protocols in the community

  • Integrated life skills development

There are two ways to provide payment for our programming: (1) waiver funding via “MY PLAN”; (2) Private Pay (billed bi-weekly). Waiver rates are pre-determined based upon a participant’s Level of Supervision required. For private pay, our charges range from $42.25 – $65.00 daily based up on an assessment of supervision needs.

As we prepare to open on June 1st, we will be starting intakes on Monday May 17th. Please see the survey link below and complete it in order to be scheduled for an intake appointment with our Director of Day Services, Emily King. Please note that we will be admitting private pay participants only until we receive our final Medicaid approval; additionally, our programming ratio will be 60/40 with the majority of participants being waiver funded.
